Receptionist/Administrative Assistant (TEMPORARY POSITION FOR 7 MONTHS)

The Royal Danish Embassy, Bogotá

The Royal Danish Embassy in Bogotá, Colombia is currently looking for a receptionist/administrative assistant from September 1st, 2018 to 1st April 2019

Main areas of work:

  • Attending visitors
  • Attend telephone from 9.00-12.30 and internal administrative tasks 12.30-17.00
  • Answer institutional e-mails and maintenance of correspondence archive
  • Answer questions from Danish and Colombian citizens by e-mail and telephone on passport and immigration issues
  • Setting up appointments for the Ambassador
  • Official correspondence – Note Verbale – as required
  • Assist with travel arrangements as required
  • Distribute newspapers/magazine/correspondence for the Embassy
  • Book meeting room for meetings
  • Maintenance of the administrative archive (electronic and physical)
  • Various ad hoc tasks in the Administrative area
  • Maintain the Head of Mission´s agenda and official invitations


We expect you to have relevant studies and minimum three years of experience in similar job position in other Diplomatic Missions or International Organisations. You are capable of working independently as well as working in a multicultural team. A high proficiency in both spoken and written Spanish and English is essential in this position. Danish is considered an advantage.

Terms of conditions

The position is from September 15, 2018 to 15th April 2019 at the Danish Royal Embassy in Bogotá, Cra. 13 No. 93-40, 2th floor, Bogotá

The embassy will provide salary according to our policies and on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
